I am a licensed clinical psychologist in the state of California (PSY26218).
I graduated from Alliant International University in 2012 with a doctorate in clinical psychology (or “Psy.D.”).
I graduated from San Diego State University in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology.
I am presently employed at La Familia Counseling Service, located in Hayward, California, and am working as a child and family therapist, utilizing the Brief Strategic Family Therapy model. I am entering my third year working with this organization. At this location, most of my services are provided to Latino clientele and conducted in Spanish.
I previously worked at the Institute for Multicultural Counseling and Education Services, where I also worked with a majority of Spanish-speaking clients. While there, I received extensive training on the Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy model of treatment for children and adolescents.
I have several years of experience as a Rape Crisis Counselor, having volunteered as an advocate with Bay Area Women Against Rape. I aided with callers to the 24-hour crisis line, accompanied victims to the hospital with the police for their examinations, and provided individual peer counseling.
